Director of Peer Recovery Services
Patrick Roff is the Director of Peer Recovery Services at CARES (Center for Addiction Recovery Education and Success), a project of Morris County Prevention is Key. Patrick is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), a Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Addiction Peer Recovery. Patrick has worked in clinical, government, professional and peer driven environments. He is the official author of the New Jersey Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) curriculum and its primary trainer. The CPRS curriculum has been approved by The New Jersey Addiction Professionals Certification Board, a member board of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). Patrick has also transformed the CPRS curriculum into a four credit college at Ocean County College in NJ course entitled “An Introduction to Addiction Peer Recovery”. Finally, Patrick is a CUNY Certified Philosophical Practitioner (CPP) and uses both his lived experience in addiction and recovery combined with the wisdom of the ancients to inform his own recovery journey and his recovery work with others.
